Climate risk assessment for fisheries and aquaculture based adaptation in Myanmar

Under the auspices of the FishAdapt project a letter of agreement (LoA) between WorldFish and the FAO was developed to conduct a risk assessment of the fisheries sector in Ayeyarwady region, Yangon region and Rakhine state. The risk assessment was divided into three distinct sub-sectors: 1) aquaculture; 2) inland fisheries and 3) coastal fisheries, representing the full extent of the fisheries sector throughout the study area. The risk assessment methodology presented within this report utilised the International Panel for Climate Change (IPCC) 2014 risk assessment framework.
